At Central, we love our young people! Through various Bible classes, activities, service projects, and trips, we have, as our goal, to bring young people closer to the Lord and each other.

Challenge Youth Conference (February; Pigeon Forge, Tennessee)
Lads to Leaders (Easter weekend; Nashville, Tennessee)
Vacation Bible School (summer; typically June)
West Kentucky Youth Camp (July)

Regular Activities that Build Relationships

In addition to outings, young people are given many regular activities to be together, focused on Scripture and growing closer to the Lord and one another. These include…

Youth devotionals for both K-6 and 7th-12th grade students. During the school year, these are monthly; during the summer, they are held weekly
Teens in the Word (bi-weekly Bible studies held in a home; 7th-12th grades)
West Kentucky Summer Youth Series
Regular service project activities

Lads to Leaders

Each Spring, on Easter weekend, our young people travel to Nashville for the annual Lads to Leaders convention. However, Central believes in using L2L as a way to help our young people grow spiritually throughout the year, so we encourage work on these events all year long.

Each year, our young people are involved in many Lads to Leaders events, and they excel due to their work, and the help of many involved adults. We are proud of our young people for being involved in Centurion of Scripture, Read the Word, Know the Books, Good Samaritan, Second Language, GIFTS, GUARD, Junior Leaders, Keepers, Providers, Year-Round Bulletin Board, Year-Round Bible Reading/Study, Group Scrapbook, Art Says It, Bible Bowl, Speech, Song Leading/Songs of Praise, Year-Round Song Leading/Songs of Praise, Puppet Theater, Mass Communications, PEARLS, Sower, and Defender.
